Officers Reports

Mid year financial report, Jennifer Lis, Treasurer:  Financials pretty much as projected.  Ad income down; need ad manager for News.  $90k in the bank.

New Business

Ellen Eiseman, Barcroft’s Representative to the Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee (CDCAC).  An update on the committee’s work this past year:

Goals of this committee are to increase affordable housing stock, promote healthy and stable families, and reduce homelessness.  Most grants are approved. They are for projects that help kids, assist business startups,teach job skills, reintegrate offenders, etc.  Ellen is looking for a replacement for her on this committee to represent Barcroft.

The County Manager is seeking community input on Arlington’s 10-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Share your thoughts regarding the following question: How Should Arlington Invest in Major Infrastructure for the Future?

County Stormwater Initiative–Efforts to unite civic associations in Arlington’s Four Mile Run watershed to strengthen our position on plans.(“Story Map” here.)

BSCL needs a candidate for President for the May election.  Other officers can do another year, though the Treasurer would like to find a replacement and is working on it.
