The Star Spangled Banner, rendered in close harmony by
members and alumnae of the Wakefield Madrigals, and
presentation of the colors by our Marine color guard.

Then it was time for the picnic.
Many brought side dishes and desserts.
And we did justice to their contributions!
There was, of course, watermelon.
We ate at tables, but there are never enough.
The strollerpark out front was larger this year.
While inside, a science wizard entertained the kids.
There were painted faces.
Board member Mary Hynes (back to camera) visited and listened.
After the picnic, we gave awards for the best parade units
And that's the program, folks. Over by noon.
The cleanup is very short, with many helping.

When it was all over, Board member Barbara Favola volunteered to take our extra food to the TACTS shelter.
Our celebration is all done. Tonight the Community House is rented by a Bulgarian dance group.
