Barcroft Loves its Parade!

July 4, 2011 - July weather and our 23rd parade!






Parade Director for Life Andrew Hunter arrived early to set up.




The band warms up in the cool Community House.




The cooks fired up the grill early, led by Scott Peterson, with Kenny pitching in.




President Pat in her wonderful hat.

Lt Whelan led off in the official car.

The band was solid and had quite a repertoire




Uncle Sam was brought to life this year by Adam Hunter.




And off they go down 8th Road on the four block route.




There were cute little girls towed in wagons.




And patriotic boys with flags on their bikes.

Families lined the parade route to cheer the marchers on.




We had our first ever Washington Monument.




We had the most spectacular float in years, the Barcroft Barnacle.




Barcroft fundraiser Chris Ditta and wife Jenny Donaldson, Barcroft PTA President.




Bikes and skateboards everywhere. Even the famous pogo stick.




A riot of color, and everyone having a good time.




After the last fire truck, the spectators joined
in to come to the picnic at the Community House.
