Downside of being historic: Community House cited for peeling paint.

We received this citation from the County, dated April 13, 2005. It cites us for peeling paint. It had a deadline of May 25th to correct the problem. We fixed the paint spots. Eventually, after asking, we received notification in August that our fix was approved.

Serious stuff, for a paint problem on our north wall that we have been fighting for years and can't find help to cure. We fixed it, but it was a scramble, done by volunteers because there was no time to take bids or get a professional painter. If you are applying for historic status, here's something you can expect, and have to be prepared to deal with in the time frame specified.
