Barcroft Loves its Parade!

July 4, 2002 - Parade and Ramp Dedication!

Back at the Community House, we had a picnic.

Meantime, our hardworking Pres, Pat Williamson-Edwards, was selling tee shirts in her fabulous Uncle Sam hat.

Then we dedicated our new accessibility ramp! Here is Barcrofter Gloria Quinlan, who provided the inspiration to build the ramp, aboard her trusty steed Mergatroid.

Here is the plaque acknowledging the role of the Stambaugh Foundation in funding the project.

Among the dedicators were Stambaugh Foundation President Frank O'Leary, Treasurer of Arlington County.

And County Board Chairman Chris Zimmerman

And more dignitaries than we can note, including State Assemblyman Karen Darner, State Senator Jim Almand and members of the Stambaugh Foundation Board of Directors: Michael Cooper and Sheri Denkensohn (master ramp tester) both associated with the Endepdence Center of Norther Virginia, Susan Prokoff and Jim Turpin (former Barcrofters).

We sang America the Beautiful and were thankful that our ramp was at long last finished!
